Toast of Remembrance
We the Crew of the IKV Honor's Blade and our sister ship, the USS Veritas, performed a Plea for the Dead on Stardate 0109.12. At which time we consigned our Blades to perform Great and Honorable deeds in the Fallen's names so that they may take their proper places in Sto-Vo-Kor. After a Howl for the Dead and a Toast of Remembrance, we raised $250 to aid the efforts in New York & Washington, D.C. Several of our members will be donating blood and organizing future fund raisers for the American Red Cross. We ask...NO, WE CHALLENGE all those who read this to do the same. The Dead cannot rest in Sto-Vo-Kor if the living do not Honor their memory. We will continue our efforts and will list our progress here. Diplomatic functions are not often hosted by Klingons, but this evening was very much enjoyed by my crew and the USS Veritas as well as those who Honored us with their presence from Genesis Fleet. KAIKASSAI to our favorite place Lugnuts for going above and beyond their usual excellence to make everyone feel comfortable and at home! The final transmission from the USS Voyager was piped into our Inspirational Theater. The tale was as unbelievable as usual, but it was very entertaining! CDR Ruthar, Brev Major tIq'batlh, Ensign V'vantar, Staff SGT Qong'HoH gathered together at the Varsity Club. Although we conducted several sweeps, an IS listening device was found to have recorded most of the night's activities. Genesis Fleet unveiled a piece of alien technology - a "UPN 44 Chatterbox". It made recordings of my personal statement and broadcasted them broadly over the Tampa Bay Area Sector! We also witnessed a Federation News Report and enjoyed a very pleasurable evening of carousing with the MANY MANY walks of local fandom in attendance that night. We participated in a debriefing on the original Enterprise and received warprizes for confirming data. Qa'pla to the USS Alliance and the USS Victorious for being excellent hosts! Captain's Log... After receiving the Battle Readiness Award at Klin Kon Staff SGT Qong'HoH has held NON-STOP surprise drills for the crew to improve their efficiently rating. The One ordered that no Battle Efficiency Drills would be held before Diplomatic Functions in the future!

The Members of House Veska serving here in the Florida Quadrant wanted to present a Ritual of Ascension at the Klin Kon in the Jacksonville system. The Honor's Blade was proud to offer their assistance. The Ritual would not only be an opportunity to gather together as Honorable Klingons - It was also a chance to raise funds for the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION. We find the Make a Wish Foundation worthy because they assist young warriors fighting for their lives. 80% of the young warriors whose wishes have been granted are still battling on today - this can be attributed to their wishes being fulfilled! It takes an average of $3500.00 (that's A LOT of latinum) to grant one wish!
With our sights set high we began to work.
